This is a pivotal leadership role for a finance professional passionate about hospitality and ready to oversee the financial backbone of one of Barbados' most beloved dining destinations. The Financial Controller ensures integrity across all reporting functions while supporting strategic growth in a dynamic, multi-outlet environment.
Requirements: Minimum 5 years of accounting experience in high-volume restaurants or hospitality. CPA or ACCA required. Strong proficiency in QuickBooks, OMNI Wizard, Dine Maestro, and advanced Excel. Deep understanding of GAAP/IFRS and Barbados tax laws (VAT, payroll, corporate).
Responsibilities:
Oversee all accounting functions including AP/AR, payroll, reconciliations, and internal controls
Produce and analyze financial reports including P&L, cash flow, labor, and COGS on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, tax compliance, and inventory management
Maintain accuracy of general ledger, fixed asset schedules, and depreciation tracking
Collaborate with operational leadership to translate financial data into actionable insights
Mentor a small accounting team, optimize processes, and ensure alignment with strategic goals
Ensure full compliance with legal and regulatory standards in Barbados
