Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy local authority in South Yorkshire, are looking for a SENDIASS Officer to join their operations.

Job Role: SENDIASS Officer
Contract: 3 months 
Location: South Yorkshire
Rate of Pay: £34.79 p/h umbrella

Main duties/Responsibilities:

• Develop positive working relationships with pupils, parents, school staff and other relevant agencies.
• To undertake assessments of children, young people and their families in line with the relevant
assessments and threshold criteria for completing statutory paperwork processes.
• Utilise available resources and referring cases to other agencies as appropriate
• Maintain an accurate and up to date electronic case recording system.
• Provide appropriate advice, guidance and information to a range of internal and external
stakeholders, including advising parents.
• Utilise own skills to undertake preventative and remedial work with parents and pupils in the home
and school setting and with the Local Authority to ensure SEND support is provided in line with the
relevant regulations.

Job Requirements:

• At least 1 years’ experience working within the services.
• 4 GCSEs (Grades A-C) or equivalent
• Completed level 1, 2 and 3 of the IASS legal training requirements or be willing to undertake this training
