Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy local authority in Southeast London, are looking for an experienced Electrician to join their team and play a crucial role within their housing maintenance operations.  

Position: Electrician
Salary: £44,430 per annum
Contract Duration: Permanent
Working Arrangement: On-site

Job Purpose: 

• The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of electrical systems across all Responsive Repairs workstreams.

Job Duties: 

• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems within Council-owned buildings.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults and issues.
• Installation of new electrical systems and equipment.
• Upgrades and improvements to existing electrical infrastructure.
• Work in a range of properties throughout the Borough, including occupied tenancies and offices and unoccupied buildings.
• Be responsible for an allocated Lewisham Council vehicle for use while on duty. 

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation - Desirable 
• Full Driving Licence. 
• NVQ Level 3 and above. 
• 18th Edition certification. 
• City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate in Electrotechnical Technology (or equivalent). 
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
