Job Description
The duties and responsibilities of the role will include:
• Managing a diverse caseload of commercial litigation and dispute resolution matters.
• Acting on commercial and insolvency disputes.
• Handling partner and shareholder disputes.
• Managing property and construction litigation.
• Advising on reputation management matters.
• Acting on sporting disputes.
• Managing contentious trusts and probate matters.
• Providing high‑quality legal advice from instruction through to resolution.
• Drafting pleadings, correspondence, and complex legal documentation.
• Representing clients in court and tribunals where required.
• Negotiating settlements and utilising alternative dispute resolution methods.
• Maintaining excellent file management, compliance, and client care standards.
• Developing and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Contributing to business development and marketing initiatives.
• Managing matters independently while collaborating with the wider litigation team.
The Successful Candidate
The ideal candidate will have:
• 3+ years PQE in commercial litigation (applications outside this range welcomed).
• Broad experience across commercial litigation and dispute resolution.
• Strong technical knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR).
• Proven ability to manage complex cases and a varied caseload independently.
• Excellent drafting, analytical, and advocacy skills.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• A proactive, self‑starting approach with strong initiative.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• A professional, confident, and client‑focused manner.
• A commitment to maintaining the highest ethical and professional standards.
