Salary: £34,000–£55,000 per annum (Dependent on Experience)

Job Description  
The duties and responsibilities of the role will include:
  
• Managing a caseload of publicly funded family law matters with a focus on Care and Child Protection proceedings.
• Handling Private Law Children matters where required.
• Providing expert legal advice and representation in public law family cases.
• Progressing matters from instruction through to conclusion with minimal supervision.
• Conducting advocacy and representing clients as appropriate.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, Legal Aid Agency requirements, and quality standards.
• Maintaining accurate file management, documentation, and case records.
• Communicating effectively with clients, colleagues, counsel, and external agencies.
• Working collaboratively with the Family Team to develop and maintain a high‑quality Care service.
• Contributing positively to the promotion and reputation of the firm.



The Successful Candidate
The ideal candidate will have:

• At least 1 year’s PQE in Family Law (experience prior to qualification will be considered).
• Strong experience in publicly funded family law matters.
• Excellent working knowledge of Legal Aid and the CCMS system.
• Well‑developed advocacy skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• A confident ability to manage and develop their own caseload.
• High levels of self‑motivation and drive.
• A collaborative, team‑focused approach.
