JOB DETAILS
PAY RATE: £22 -£25 per hour  
WORK TYPE: Temporary
WORK PATTERN: Part Time
LOCATION: Oxford 
   
JOB SUMMARY
Seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Brokerage Officer to join our Adult Social Care team on a part-time basis. This role is central to ensuring that vulnerable adults receive high-quality, cost-effective care services tailored to their individual needs.
You will act as a key link between social workers, service providers, and service users, sourcing appropriate care packages and placements while ensuring value for money and compliance with council policies.


  
JOB DESCRIPTION
The duties and responsibilities of the role will include:

• Source and negotiate care packages and placements with external providers
• Work closely with social care professionals to understand client needs
• Monitor service delivery and provider performance
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with procurement procedures
• Build and maintain strong relationships with care providers
• Ensure timely and effective commissioning of services

  
  
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE
The successful candidate will have the following skills and competencies:

• Has experience in brokerage, commissioning, or adult social care
• Possesses strong negotiation and communication skills
• Is highly organised with excellent attention to detail
• Can work collaboratively across teams and with external partners
• Is confident using IT systems and managing data
