Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy local authority in Southwest England, are looking for an experienced Education Systems Expertise And Service Lead to join their team and play a crucial role within their education services operations.  

Position: Education Systems Expertise And Service Lead
Salary: Up to £57,864 per annum
Contract: Permanent
Working Arrangement: Hybrid/Mainly Remote

Job Purpose: 

• To lead the delivery of professional and technical expertise and advice to Education Services customers within a specialist area in order to improve quality and advice to ensure Council projects and services are delivered in accordance with legislation, best practice and guidance.

Job Duties: 

• Act as technical/professional lead, monitoring and providing guidance on the most complex policy decisions/cases/projects within a focused area, which will have a perceptible impact on the IT team’s profile, reputation, or service level.
• Produce recommendations for service planning, budgets, and workforce planning, using expertise to proactively identify relevant customer, professional or legislative trends that may impact on delivery. 
• Ensure effective budget monitoring arrangements are in place within the team and that timely corrective action is taken to deal with any variances and eventualities that arise.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• Degree in a relevant subject or be able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skills, and proven experience of strategic development in the related service area.
• ITIL v4 Qualification. 
• Agile Qualification or similar. 
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
