Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy local authority in Hull, are looking for an experienced Estate Technician to join their team and play a crucial role within their property maintenance operations.  

Position: Estate Technician
Rate: £12.88 per hour (PAYE)
Contract Duration: Temporary (June 2026) Possible Extension  
Working Arrangement: On-site

Job Purpose: 

• Undertake basic repairs, grounds maintenance, caretaking and general cleaning, in accordance with agreed scheme specification.

Job Duties: 

• Use equipment and materials in a safe manner as instructed and in accordance with risk assessment and method statements and the manufacturer’s guidance.
• Carry out all hazardous tasks, such as spraying in accordance with supplier guidelines and in a safe manner, ensuring relevant records are maintained to comply with health and safety and legal requirements.
• Ensure tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and continue to be suitable for required tasks and ensure stock levels are maintained.
• Respond positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery to meet customer expectations, in accordance with contract specifications and escalate complaints as appropriate.

Job Requirements:

• Experience in property clearance, garden maintenance, and cleaning to lettable standards.
• Background in facilities, housing, or property maintenance sectors
• Ability to safely dispose of waste, furniture, and building rubbish.
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
