Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy local authority in East London, are looking for an experienced Head of HR/OD Change to join their team and play a crucial role within their human resources operations.  

Position: Head of HR/OD Change
Rate: £92.86 per hour (PAYE) 
Contract Duration: Temporary (July 2026) Possible Extension  
Working Arrangement: Hybrid

Job Purpose: 

• Working directly to the Director of Workforce Change this role is a key member of the HR/OD leadership team, your focus will be on Business Partners and Change and the HR Advisory functions.

Job Duties: 

• Provide strategic capacity to support the shaping of the HR TOM and support implementation of the restructure of HR/OD.
• Provide complex HR advice, guidance and analysis, specifically around workforce planning, organisational design, equality, diversity and inclusion, ensuring best practice and legislative compliance.
• Lead the HR Business Partners to proactively enable major structural change programmes such as restructuring, redundancy, TUPE transfer, policy consultation, managing the organisational impact and the people implications.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• Must have senior HR level experience in local government.
• Degree level and/ or a professional qualification (PGDIP HRM, Masters, CIPD) relevant to the role and/ or substantial professional experience.
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
