Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy client in Southeast London, are looking for an experienced Debt Manager to join their team and play a crucial role within their finance operations.  

Position: Debt Manager
Rate: Negotiable (Umbrella, Inside IR35) 
Contract Duration: Temporary (October) Possible Extension   
Working Arrangement: Hybrid

Job Purpose: 

• Working to the Finance Debt Manager this post will be responsible for managing an area of debt within Finance. The post will be responsible for the delivery of the day to day operational aspects of either the Sundry or Revenues Debt collection services.

Job Duties: 

• To deliver the operational aspects of the Sundry or Revenues Debt collection services on a day to day basis.
• To work with colleagues across the ncil to ensure the information on which the debt is recovered is captured in a timely and complete manner enabling the most appropriate level of recovery action to be taken, including court action.
• To provide direct support to the Finance Debt Manager in the development and implementation of best practice guidelines for the service including the development of Financial Procedures in respect of Debt Collection.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development. 
• Must have worked at a managerial level or equivalent.
