Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy local authority in West London, are looking for an experienced Employment & Financial Support Officer to join their team and play a crucial role within their Housing Needs operations.   

Position: Employment & Financial Support Officer
Rate: £27.46 per hour (Umbrella, Inside IR35) 
Contract Duration: Temporary (August 2026) Possible Extension  
Working Arrangement: Hybrid

Job Purpose: 

• To provide an employment and training, welfare benefits, grants, debt, and budgeting support service for households living in the borough and those placed in temporary accommodation outside of the borough.

Job Duties: 

• To manage a caseload of residents and support them with employment and training, welfare benefits, grants, debt, and budgeting.
• To assess individuals’ employment, training, and budgeting needs, draw up an individual action plan to identify the steps required to address needs and review at regular intervals.
• Helping residents with job searching, completing application forms, writing CV’s and covering letters, as well as to prepare for interviews and other recruitment related assessments.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• Effective numerical, written, and verbal communication and presentation skills, and administrative experience including record keeping on databases, drafting reports, letters and emails to a good standard.
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
