Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy Local Authority in East London, are looking for an experienced Employment Lawyer to join their team and play a crucial role within their Law Operation

Position: Employment Lawyer
Rate: £286.12 Daily Rate Umbrella
Contract Duration: 3 months with Possible Extension
Working Arrangement: Hybrid/Remote - Discussed at Interview Stage

Job Duties: 

• To undertake advocacy on behalf of the Local Authority in courts and tribunals, where this is part of the work of the team.
• To draft complex reports and legal documentation.
• To use the case management system and to record the chargeable hours per annum required for the post or such other outcome focused targets as may be set by the Head of Service or Director of Legal and Governance.

Job Requirements:

• Qualified solicitor or barrister (Supreme Court of England and Wales/English Bar) or Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives
• Previous experience working as a Employment Lawyer or similar organisation
• Previous experience working for a Local Authority or similar organisation.
