• PAY RATE: $240,000 - $350,000 Per Annum

JOB ROLE

A leading law firm is seeking an associate with 2–5 years of relevant experience to join its Fund Formation & Investment Management practice group. 

The practice group provides a full range of services to general partners and limited partners, with deep insight into the business objectives, market dynamics, and trends across the private funds industry.


JOB DESCRIPTION
The duties and responsibilities of the role will include:

• Fund formation and investment management matters
• Fund and management structuring
• Negotiating with institutional investors (including pension plans, funds of funds, endowments, and foundations)
• Secondary transactions involving limited partner interests (both buy- and sell-side)
• GP-led fund restructurings
• Working knowledge of Investment Advisers Act registration, Regulatory compliance and Securities Act.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE
The successful candidate will have the following skills and competencies:

• Strong drafting and analytical skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in team environments
• Experience interacting directly with senior lawyers and clients
• Proactive, positive attitude with strong interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated work ethic and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growing practice
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Active bar membership and in good standing.
