JOB DETAILS 

Our client is seeking a talented Energy Transactions Associate with 4–6 years of experience to join a growing Energy Team in Houston.

This position offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated power and renewable energy transactions, advising clients on mergers & acquisitions and joint ventures in a fast-evolving sector. You’ll play a key role in complex deals from initial structuring through closing.


JOB DESCRIPTION
The duties and responsibilities of the role will include:

• Represent and advise clients on power and renewable energy M&A and joint venture transactions
• Draft and negotiate:
  • Purchase and sale agreements
  • Joint venture agreements
  • Development agreements and related transaction documents
• Lead and manage due diligence and closing processes
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across offices
• Work directly with senior attorneys and clients on high-value matters

SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE 

• 4–6 years of relevant transactional experience in energy, M&A, or joint ventures
• Strong drafting, organizational, and project management skills
• Experience handling complex transactions from start to finish
• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
• Active membership and good standing with the Texas Bar
