Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy local authority in Northwest London, are looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to join their team and play a crucial role within their human resources operations.  

Position: HR Business Partner
Rate: £35 per hour (Umbrella, Inside IR35)
Contract Duration: Temporary (October 2026) Possible Extension  

Job Purpose: 

• The postholder is responsible for leading the delivery and development of an excellent Human Resources provision to all directorates within the Council, with a particular focus on strategic HR Business Partner support for the Housing Division.

Job Duties: 

• Provide an effective, consistent, and responsive HR service to meet customer need, covering all areas of HR remit. Expert employee relations advice and support is provided to managers and directors across the council from start to finish.
• Casework including complex casework, organisational change, and policy development within the Human Resources remit are progressed, concluded, and implemented within deadlines, KPIs and in line with existing SLA.
• Advise directors, managers, and other stakeholders on issues relevant to the service area including complex casework, change management and policy development. Participate and attend hearings and appeals.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• At least 1 year experience within a HR Business Partner role or equivalent.
• Demonstrable record of achievement in employee relations, specifically complex casework, TUPE, and strategic and operational human resources projects.
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
