Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy local authority in West Yorkshire, are looking for an experienced Disposal Surveyor to join their team and play a crucial role in their asset management operations.  

Position: Disposal Surveyor
Rate: £450 per day (Umbrella, Inside IR35)
Contract Duration: Temporary (July 2026) Possible Extension  
Working Arrangement: Hybrid

Job Purpose: 

• To lead and manage the disposal of surplus council property assets in a way that maximises capital receipts, supports the Council’s priorities and ensures compliance with statutory duties. 

Job Duties: 

• Manage a varied caseload of freehold disposals from inception to completion.
• Prepare disposal strategies, valuation advice and recommendations for decision-makers.
• Undertake disposal recommendation summaries to determine the most appropriate disposal route.
• Lead negotiations with purchasers, developers and their agents to secure best consideration.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• At least 1 year experience within a Disposal Surveyor role or equivalent.
• RICS qualification (MRICS/FRICS) - Essential.
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
