Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy local authority in Hampshire, are looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to join their team and play a crucial role within their human resources operations.  

Position: HR Business Partner
Rate: £31.14 per hour (Umbrella, Inside IR35)
Contract Duration: Temporary (July 2026) Possible Extension  
Working Arrangement: Hybrid

Job Purpose: 

• The HR Business Partner (HRBP) is a senior HR professional who acts as a trusted advisor and consultant to the Council, helping to align HR practices with overall business objectives. They bridge the gap between HR and the business, ensuring that people strategies support the Council's goals. The HRBP will work closely with directorates, service leaders and managers to understand their needs and develop tailored solutions to address people-related challenges.

Job Duties: 

• Partner with business leaders to develop and implement people strategies that support the Council's overall business goals.
• Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on a wide range of HR issues, such as employee engagement, performance management, and disciplinary matters and signpost to the ER Lead.
• Lead and support organisational change initiatives, ensuring that people are effectively managed through the change process.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• CIPD qualified to chartered status or equivalent HR experience.
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
