Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy Local Authority in Southwest England, are looking for an experienced Legal Adviser to join their team and play a crucial role in their property & contracts operations. 

Position: Legal Adviser
Salary: £35,412 - £38,220 per annum
Contract: Permanent
Working Arrangement: 1 day in the office 

Job Purpose: 

Legal Adviser to join their Property & Contracts Team to deal with a wide range of property matters, including:

• Sales and purchases
• Landlord and tenant / licences
• S38 Highway Agreements
• Deferred Payment Agreements

Job Responsibilities: 

• To deal with wide ranging property matters and provide legal support to colleagues across the Council’s services.
• Draft legal documents and the ability to give clear and accurate legal advice.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• At least 1 year experience within a Legal Adviser role or equivalent.
• You will be a graduate member of CILEx and hold a Level 6 Diploma in Law and Practice, having passed Unit 9 (Land Law), Unit 10 (Landlord and Tenant Law) and Unit 17 (Conveyancing), or a qualified solicitor.
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
