JOB SUMMARY
To provide effective management and leadership to staff, whilse delivering creative Day Care Services to service users living with a learning disability, physical disability, autism and challenging behaviour in response to their assessed needs and agreed care plans.

Key Responsibilities

• To ensure that there is adequate staff and supervisory cover to provide an effective, safe, caring and responsive service to service users, their families and representatives. 
• To ensure that the care service within the community meet quality standards, legislative requirements and best practice criteria. To ensure that the service is provided within the resources available. 
• To initiate and develop a range of educational, vocational and recreational activities for people with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, challenging behaviour and autism.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE
The successful candidate will have the following skills and competencies:

• The post holder may be required to work shifts including evenings and weekends.
• Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility and all employees are required to act in such a way that at all times safeguards the health and well-being of children and vulnerable adults.
• Carry out duties with due regard to the Council’s Customer Care, Equal Opportunities, Information Governance, Data Protection, Health and Safety and Emergency Planning & Awareness (including to provide assistance where available) policies and procedures.
