JOB SUMMARY
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established children’s residential care provider for a Registered Manager to lead a home in Manchester.
Caring for young people who have experienced adverse childhood experiences can be challenging, but it is also a vocation for those who are passionate about making a difference. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an organisation committed to providing high-quality care and positive outcomes for vulnerable young people.
You will play a key role in creating a safe, nurturing environment, supporting young people in their day-to-day lives, and helping them work towards independence or reunification with their families.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the children’s home
- Ensure full compliance with Ofsted regulations and safeguarding standards
- Deliver high-quality care that meets the individual needs of each young person
- Recruit, develop, and lead a motivated staff team
- Monitor performance, quality, and outcomes within the home
- Build strong partnerships with external professionals, families, and stakeholders
- Manage budgets and resources effectively
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE The successful candidate will have the following skills and competencies:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
- Previous experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager in a children’s residential setting
- Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding practices
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Passionate about improving outcomes for young people
