Tempting Recruitment are working alongside our client, a Financial Institution, who are looking to recruit an experienced Director of Corporate Banking and Insurance to join their team based in New York.

• PAY RATE: $250,000 Per Annum

JOB ROLE

The Director will be employed by the Corporate Banking & Insurance Team, which has a leading role in both Canada and the US and a global platform. In addition to direct origination, cross-selling, and client relationship management duties, the Director will take on a portfolio management and relationship management position with a combined emphasis on credit underwriting, structuring, and risk assessment.

JOB DESCRIPTION
The duties and responsibilities of the role will include:

• Builds new customer ties primarily within the insurance industry and cultivates partnerships with both current and potential clients by utilizing insurance industry experience.
• Identifies chances to increase a client's wallet share and cross-sell.
• Works together with sector coverage partners to find and provide innovative, timely solutions for clients and prospects.
• Plays a crucial role in the transaction team, working to increase the penetration and profits of the insurance industry.
• Makes and delivers financial solution pitch books to clients and conducts client presentations.
• Evaluates and directs team members' activities to produce business outcomes.
• Comprehends the requirements of insurance customers and offers pertinent thoughts and viewpoints to produce suggestions.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE
The successful candidate will have the following skills and competencies:

• A minimum of ten years of relevant expertise in corporate banking, including negotiating and arranging lending deals with a track record of effective cross-selling in the insurance industry.
• Seasoned professional with a background in education, work experience, and industry understanding.
• Outstanding familiarity with the goals and policies of lending and portfolio management.
• Outstanding familiarity with the bank's financial solutions offerings.
• Outstanding analytical abilities. proficiency with database management software and financial computer programs.
• High academic accomplishment is encouraged in undergraduate degrees with a focus on accounting, finance, or economics.
• An MBA, CFA, or comparable expertise in the legal, accounting, or financial services industries is preferred.
