Tempting Recruitment are working alongside our client, a national law firm, who are looking to recruit an experienced Associate to join their Commercial Litigation team based in New York.
  
JOB DETAILS

• SALARY: $225,000 - $435,000 per annum
• WORK TYPE: Permanent 
• WORK PATTERN: Full Time
• LOCATION: New York City

JOB DESCRIPTION
The duties and responsibilities of the role will include:

• In addition to having significant experience with intricate business litigation cases in state and federal courts, the qualified candidate must be an effective oral advocate and persuasive legal writer.
• Your responsibilities will include conducting and overseeing written and document discovery, conducting and defending depositions, researching and drafting pleadings, motions, and other court filings, preparing witnesses for testimony, attending status conferences, and arguing motions in both state and federal courts.
• It is desirable if you have trial preparation expertise and have taken part in settlement conferences and negotiations.
• The ideal applicant will be upbeat, possess excellent interpersonal skills, have a strong work ethic, and feel at ease interacting directly with clients and partners.

SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE 

• J.D. from an ABA law school. 
• 3+ years of relevant experience working in Commercial and Business Litigation
• Be in good standing with the state bar.
