Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy local authority in Essex, are looking for an experienced IT Support Officer to join their team and play a crucial role within their IT operations.  

Position: IT Support Officer
Rate: £20.21 per hour (Umbrella, Inside IR35)
Contract Duration: Temporary (July 2026) Possible Extension  
Working Arrangement: Fully Onsite

Job Purpose: 

• Role involves first-line technical support, service desk duties, hardware commissioning/decommissioning, and general IT support.

Job Duties: 

• Providing first-line IT support in a technical service desk environment.
• Hardware commissioning and decommissioning processes.
• Practical use of Microsoft technologies.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• ITIL knowledge is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
