Job Description
The duties and responsibilities of the role will include:

• Working as part of a Tier 1 ranked specialist employment law team, handling high‑stakes workplace disputes for senior executives and employers.
• Advising clients across contentious and non‑contentious employment matters, with minimal corporate support or international project work.
• Developing new skills and working across atypical areas of employment law, encouraged by the firm’s curiosity‑driven approach.
• Contributing to firm strategy, attending team meetings, and influencing decisions through open discussions and employee representation.
• Managing a varied caseload involving complex litigation, settlement negotiation and advisory work.
• Supporting career progression initiatives and working collaboratively with high‑performing colleagues.
• Maintaining a strong commitment to work/life balance, with no expectation to work weekends or during holidays except in exceptional situations.

The Successful Candidate
The ideal candidate will have:

• Strong academic background and demonstrably high intellectual ability.
• Excellent written communication skills and the ability to produce clear, precise legal analysis.
• 3–6 years’ PQE in employment law, with experience relevant to BDBF’s senior‑executive and employer client base.
• Confidence in communicating with very senior clients and the ability to command trust quickly.
• Adaptability and empathy when dealing with clients in sensitive and challenging situations.
• Self‑awareness, conscientiousness, and strong professional ethics.
• An entrepreneurial, positive, can‑do mindset with a willingness to contribute ideas.
• Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work well with high‑performing colleagues.
