Job Role: Business Partnering Accountant
Temporary or Permanent: Temp
Possible End Date: 6 months (possible extension)
Number of Positions: 1 position
Location: Oxford
Office Based/Hybrid: Twice monthly visits to Oxford
Rate of Pay: £34.73 - £36.93 p/h umbrella
Short Brief:
The candidate needs many years Local government experience and significant & recent experience in Education Finance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support delivery of the Medium Term Financial Strategy
• Revenue budget monitoring, forecasting and variance analysis
• Provide financial insight to support decision-making
• Support development of business cases and financial modelling
• Ensure compliance with corporate finance policies and governance
• Maintain cost centre structures and financial controls
• Identify risks, pressures and opportunities across supported services

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• At least 2 years experience within a Business Partnering Accountant
  role or equivalent 
• fully-qualified CCAB/CIMA status would be advantageous.
• Strong revenue monitoring and forecasting background
• Good understanding of financial governance and risk management
