Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy Local Authority in Southwest London, are looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to join their team and play a crucial role in their generalist human resources operations.       

Position: HR Business Partner
Rate: £39 per day (Umbrella, Inside IR35) 
Contract Duration: Temporary (May 2026) Possible Extension   
Working Arrangement: 3 days in the office

Purpose:

• The HR Business Partner is a pivotal strategic role, serving as a critical interface between senior leadership, organisational strategy, and human resource management.

Job Responsibilities: 

• This high-level position goes beyond traditional HR administrative functions, acting as a key strategic advisor who transforms human capital potential into organisational excellence.
• The post-holder will be responsible for developing comprehensive HR strategies that align with the council's overarching goals, drive organisational performance, and create a dynamic, resilient, and inclusive workplace culture. Leading HR projects, driving organisational change, and enhancing employee engagement and performance are key elements of this role.
• Leading the development and implementation of comprehensive HR policies and procedures that ensure legal compliance, promote fairness, and support the organisation's strategic goals. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of evolving employment legislation, public sector regulations, and best practices in HR management.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• At least 1 year experience within a HR Business Partner role or equivalent.
• MCIPD qualification, working towards or equivalent experience.
• Degree or equivalent experience in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or a closely related discipline.
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
