Role: Conveyancing Solicitor / Legal Executive

Job DescriptionThe duties and responsibilities of the role will include:
Supporting the Conveyancing Department under the supervision of the Head of Business Development.
Managing a varied caseload including sales, purchases, transfers, remortgages and granting of new leases.
Ensuring the smooth running of the department through proactive communication, compliance and progressing files efficiently.
Acting as the main point of contact for clients, tailoring communication to suit their needs and engaging professionally via phone, email and in person.
Maintaining up‑to‑date and compliant records on the Case Management System.
Monitoring key dates for auction and new‑build matters to ensure timely completion of required documentation.
Drafting or reviewing contract packages, raising enquiries and submitting searches.
Preparing title, mortgage and search reports and acting for mortgage lenders.
Handling exchanges of contracts and agreeing transfer deeds.
Working collaboratively with the Conveyancing Department to deliver a seamless service.
The Successful CandidateThe ideal candidate will have:
A current Practising Certificate (Solicitor/Legal Executive).
Experience in a fast‑paced office environment and working directly with clients.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including excellent spelling and grammar.
High attention to detail and accuracy when preparing legal documents.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a busy caseload autonomously.
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining professionalism and discretion.
Effective teamwork skills with the ability to work alongside lawyers, secretaries and agents.
Good IT skills and confidence using electronic systems, including Microsoft Office.
Law degree.
Understanding of legal terminology, regulations and HM Land Registry systems.
Experience working with legal technology such as digital filing, dictation tools and case management systems.
Knowledge of the full conveyancing process.
