Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy local authority in Warwickshire, are looking for an experienced Revenues Officer to join their team and play a crucial role in their Finance & Performance operations.  

Position: Revenues Officer
Rate: £22.35 per Hour (Umbrella, Inside IR35) 
Contract Duration: Temporary (3 Months) Possible Extension   
Working Arrangement: Fully Remote

Purpose:

• To ensure that all Council Tax, NDR and Sundry Income records are maintained to enable correct billing and recovery of charges.

Job Responsibilities: 

• To verify the correctness of information regarding liability, discounts and exemptions prior to input on the on-line system.
• Set up Direct Debits on Council Tax and NDR payers accounts as appropriate.
• To negotiate, agree and set up payment arrangements taking account of the policies and procedures laid down by management.
• Identify and prepare any refunds as a result of overpayments on Council Tax and NDR.
• Deal with personal, telephone and written enquiries from customers and their representatives and make arrangements and conduct interviews as required.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• At least 1 year experience within a Revenues Officer role or equivalent.
• Must have experience in Council Tax, Sundry Debts and NDR. 
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
