Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy local authority in Northwest London, are looking for an experienced IT Support Officer to join their team and play a crucial role in their Health & Safety operations.  

Position: Fire Risk Officer
Rate: Negotiable (Umbrella, Inside IR35) 
Contract Duration: Temporary (May 2026) Possible Extension   

Purpose:

• To be responsible to the team manager and for day-to-day management of the health and safety of building projects, maintenance contracts and fire risk assessments across the borough.

Job Responsibilities: 

• To be responsible or established standards of work, cost, allocated building maintenance, building construction or related works within the team.
• Assist the Planned Works Team in the development, dissemination and implementation of the Council's Fire Safety Policy. 
• Prepare and monitor Fire Risk Assessments of premises as required by the legislation. 

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• At least 1 year experience within a Fire Risk Officer role or equivalent.
• Qualified Fire Risk Assessor and a member of the IFE or IFSM. 
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
