Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy Local Authority in North London, are looking for an experienced Schools HR Partner to join their team and play a crucial role in their human resources operations.  

Position: Schools HR Partner
Rate: £30.69 per hour (Umbrella, Inside IR35) 
Contract: Temporary (December 2026) Possible Extension 
Working Arrangement: Mainly Remote

Purpose:

• Provides strategic financial, HR, or operational guidance to schools, acting as a liaison between central council/trust operations and school leadership to ensure budgetary control, compliance, and effective resource management. 

Key Responsibilities:

• You'll deliver a comprehensive generalist HR service, acting as a trusted advisor to schools and trusts.
• You will confidently support customers through a wide range of people matters, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, performance and capability processes, providing pragmatic, risk-based advice that supports effective decision making.
• Conducting workplace investigations, developing and delivering training sessions, drafting and reviewing policies, supporting TUPE and change management processes, and contributing to ad-hoc HR projects across our customer schools. 

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• At least 1 year experience within a HR Business Partner role or equivalent.
• Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD)
