Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy Local Authority in East London, are looking for an experienced Housing Supply New Build Coordinator to join their team and play a crucial role in their housing & regeneration operations.       

Position: Director of Local Government Reorganisation
Rate: £1000 per day (Umbrella, Inside IR35) 
Contract Duration: Temporary (2 Years) Possible Extension   
Working Arrangement: Hybrid

Purpose:

• Provide strategic direction and leadership for the council portfolio of programmes. Build the right foundations for the future success of local government in Southeast England. Ensure a safe, legal and well-planned transition to the new operating model, minimising service disruption and maintaining a focus on improved outcomes and long-term sustainability.

Job Responsibilities: 

• Lead and develop the system Portfolio Management Office and coordinate all programmes and workstreams.
• Set and maintain the strategic roadmap, critical path and milestones.
• Establish strong portfolio structure and programme management arrangements Governance, Assurance and Legal Readiness.
• Build effective working relationships with Leaders, Members and Chief Executives.
• Lead organisational development and workforce transition including TUPE.
• Oversee contract mapping, supplier relationships and commercial planning.
• Oversee data migration, records management and information governance.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• At least 1 year experience within a Director of Local Government Reorganisation role or equivalent.
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
