Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy Local Authority in East London, are looking for an experienced Digital Transformation Lead to join their team and play a crucial role in their Finance & Corporate Resources operations. 

Position: Digital Transformation Lead
Rate: £600 per day (Umbrella, Inside IR35)
Contract Duration: Temporary (July 2026) with Possible Extension 

Job Purpose: 

• To lead a programme to implement the council's Digital Strategy, ensuring robust and effective programme and project management is in place to support delivery of programme benefits.

Job Responsibilities: 

• To lead and manage multi-disciplinary project teams to design, deliver and support digital change.
• Work closely with the Director - ICT, Digital and Customer Services to support effective working relationships with relevant portfolio holders.
• Effectively manage resources within the Digital Transformation team and across wider project teams to deliver the digital programme.
• Identify and pilot use of innovative technology to support service delivery across Council departments and use the findings to develop robust business cases for further investment.
• Identify risks, coordinate risk assessment, manage agreed actions (which may involve acceptance of risk, risk reduction or mitigations to avoid/ eliminate risks), and monitor the status of risks on an ongoing basis.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• At least 1 year experience within a Digital Transformation Lead role or equivalent.
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
