Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy Local Authority in North London, are looking for an experienced Development Partnerships Manager to join their team and play a crucial role in their  new homes development operations.   

Position: Development Partnerships Manager
Rate: £445 per day (Umbrella, Inside IR35)
Contract Duration: Temporary (April 2026) with Possible Extension  

Purpose:

• Responsible for the successful delivery of new housing supply on council-owned land through alternative delivery models.

Job Responsibilities: 

• Lead on working with development partners to ensure the delivery of high quality, well-designed, energy efficient new homes, maximising the provision of genuinely affordable homes.
• Work with external stakeholders such as GLA and MHCLG to maximise funding opportunities and investment in the borough to meet the council’s strategic objectives for housing.
• Commission and manage technical consultants, agents, professional services and specialists required to deliver the quality service needed to support the delivery of new homes through development partnerships, adhering to the council’s procurement rules and in line with the Council’s Constitution and Financial Regulations

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• At least 1 year experience within a Development Partnerships Manager role or equivalent.
• Experience of working with developers and affordable housing providers in the delivery of new homes, preferably in a local authority setting, developing agreements for residential delivery, demonstrating commercial acumen and negotiating positive outcomes for residents.
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
