PAY RATE: £550 - £600 day rate

JOB SUMMARY
Locum Head of Service – Safeguarding West to provide strategic and operational leadership across Safeguarding and Care Planning services, including oversight of two Contact Centres.
  
JOB DESCRIPTION
The duties and responsibilities of the role will include:

• Provide strategic and operational leadership to Safeguarding West services
• Lead, manage, and support senior managers and team leaders
• Oversee and ensure effective operation of two Contact Centres
• Drive service improvement and contribute to transformation programme
• Work closely with multi-agency partners to deliver excellent safeguarding outcomes
• Promote Council’s values and behaviours in all aspects of leadership

  
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE
The successful candidate will have the following skills and competencies:

• Substantial experience as a Head of Service within Children’s Social Care
• Strong background in Safeguarding and Care Planning
• Proven ability to lead complex services at senior management level
• Confident working in high-profile, fast-paced environments
• Social Work qualified
