Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy Local Authority in Northwest London, are looking for an experienced Debt Recovery Officer to join their team and play a crucial role in their recovery operations.   

Position: Service Accountant
Rate: £400 per day (Umbrella, Inside IR35)
Contract Duration: Temporary (3-6 Months) with Possible Extension  

Purpose:

• The post holder will produce, monitor and close the budgets relating to Children's Services Directorate. 

Job Responsibilities: 

The role will act as the finance link for Children’s Services, reporting to the Finance Business Partner for Children & Education.

Key duties include:

• Budget setting
• Budget monitoring
• Managing grants and statistical returns
• Year-end accounts for Children’s Services

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• At least 1 year experience within a Service Accountant role or equivalent.
• Must have local authority social care experience. 
• CCAB qualified accountant (or near finalist but with significant experience gained for the level required in this role).
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
