Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy Local Authority in West Yorkshire, are looking for an experienced IT Security Manager to join their team and play a crucial role within their corporate resources service area. 

Position: IT Security Manager
Rate: £700 per day (Umbrella, Outside IR35)
Contract Duration: Temporary (March 2026) Possible Extension  

Job Purpose: 

• Working in IT Services in the Enterprise Architecture and Systems Services Management team to lead the IT security team in security, policy and document development, mitigating and implementing IT security measures including the development of cyber incident plans, cyber risk registers to ensures that the department meets and exceeds agreed service levels to its customers and is secured against
  cybercrime. 

Job Duties: 

• Manage and lead the IT Security team and be part of the IT Services management team.
• Lead technical vulnerability assessments of IT systems and processes, identifying potential vulnerabilities, to make recommendations to control any risks identified and to ensure they are implemented.
• Working closely with the departments to assist and provide input to ensure that council policies and procedures for Information Security are effectively adhered to.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• Experience within a IT Security Manager role or equivalent.
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
