Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy Housing Association in Northeast England, are looking for an experienced Electrician to join their team and play a crucial role in their maintenance and installation operations.        

Position: Electrician
Rate: Negotiable (Umbrella, Inside IR35)
Contract Duration: Temporary (March 2026) with Possible Extension  

Purpose:

• You’ll be responsible for carrying out high quality, right first-time maintenance and installation works across responsive, planned, and compliance workstreams.

Job Responsibilities: 

• You will work individually and as part of a team undertake electrical installation, repairs and testing, ensuring the highest possible standards.
• All aspects of electrical works will be undertaken and a multi-skilled approach to completing the whole job, aligned to recognised standards for compliance and quality.
• You will have a multi-skilled, whole job repair approach which delivers high level of individual and team performance and you will deliver recognised industry standards for compliance, certification, quality and productivity.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• At least 1 year experience within a Electrician role or equivalent.
• NVQ Level 3 or City and Guilds in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
• Qualified to 18th Edition IET wiring regulations.
• AM2 or equivalent qualification.
• Electrical Inspection and Testing 2391.
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
