Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy Local Authority in North London, are looking for an experienced Senior Planning Officer to join their team and play a crucial role in their Planning and Growth operations.  

Position: Senior Planning Officer
Rate: Negotiable (Umbrella, Inside IR35)
Contract Duration: Temporary (3 Months) with Possible Extension  

Purpose:

• You will work with teams of professional officers in the delivery of projects to support the functions of the planning service and be responsible for the provision of highest quality, outcomes focused on the needs of clients including the Cabinet, committees, steering groups, other council teams and elected members.

Job Responsibilities: 

• To deliver complex and specialised planning services including development management, the preparation of planning policy, and delivery of planning related projects in accordance with recognised performance standards and delivery plans.
• The negotiation and case management of complex planning applications, delivering significant levels of investment within the Borough. 
• Day to day management of pre-application processes or similar function within the area team. 

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• At least 1 year experience within a Senior Planning Officer role or equivalent.
• Driving Licence Required.
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
