Tempting Recruitment are working alongside our client, a Local Authority, who are looking to recruit an experienced Social Worker to join their team based in Norwich 

JOB DETAILS PAY RATE: £40 per hour

JOB SUMMARY
Children with Disabilities (CWD) service supports children and young people aged 0–18 with substantial and permanent disabilities. The service operates and is delivered through three multi-disciplinary teams, bringing together

This is a case-holding role, working with children, young people and their families from initial referral through to longer-term involvement, including:

• Children in Need (CIN)
• Child Protection (CP)
• Children Looked After (CLA)
• Transitioning to Adulthood
• Identify areas of need through assessment
• Develop and coordinate appropriate support packages
• Undertake direct work with children and young people
• Work closely with CWD Occupational Therapists and CWD Outreach services
• Support young people to access opportunities comparable to their non-disabled peers

Strong partnership working is central to the role, and you will maintain effective links with both internal teams and external agencies to ensure a holistic and coordinated response.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE The successful candidate will have the following skills and competencies:

• Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration.
• Experience working with children with disabilities and their families.
• In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Children Act 1989 and 2004, Care Act 2014, and related safeguarding procedures.
