Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy Local Authority in Learning Support Assistant, are looking for an experienced Learning Support Assistant to join their team and play a crucial role in their essential learning operations.  

Position: Learning Support Assistant
Rate: £16 per hour (Umbrella, Inside IR35)
Contract Duration: Temporary (1 Month) with Possible Extension  

Purpose:

• In liaison with the Learning Support Coordinator, Learning Inclusion Manager and curriculum teaching staff, provide essential learning and accessibility support to young people and adults with SEN.

Job Responsibilities: 

• To assist in the educational and social development of learners under the direction of the support managers and curriculum team leaders. 
• To contribute to the assessment of students’ learning and personal progression, working with relevant members of staff to contribute to the development of person-centred support plans.
• To anticipate barriers to learning and participation, develop intervention strategies to minimise difficulties.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• At least 1 year experience within a Learning Support Assistant role or equivalent.
• Minimum of Level 2 Maths and English or willingness to work towards and complete.
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
