Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy Local Authority in East Midlands, are looking for an experienced Private Rented Sector Offer Project Team Lead to join their team and play a crucial role in their private housing operations.  

Position: Housing Officer
Rate: £20 per hour (Umbrella, Inside IR35)
Contract Duration: Temporary (3 Months) with Possible Extension  

Purpose:

• Work proactively with private landlords and letting agents to secure high-quality properties, supporting the Councils housing objectives and helping to meet housing demand. The role requires strong knowledge of tenancy legislation, housing procurement, and the private rental market.

Job Responsibilities: 

• Drive the procurement and expansion of high-quality private accommodation to prevent homelessness and meet housing needs. 
• Identify, procure, and secure suitable PRS properties to meet housing demand.
• Provide advice and guidance to landlords regarding tenancy legislation and housing standards.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• At least 1 year experience within a Private Rented Sector Offer Project Team Lead role or equivalent.
• Strong experience and knowledge in lettings, property management or housing procurement with a track record of working with private landlords. 
• Basic DBS required or willing to process one. 
• Access to own vehicle required - UK Driving License essential. 
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
