Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy local authority in Croydon. Are looking for a Disrepair Surveyor to join their organisation.
 
Job Role: Disrepair Surveyor
Temporary or Permanent: Temp
Possible End Date: 6 months (possible extension)
Number of Positions: 1 position
Location: Croydon
Office Based/Hybrid: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, 4 days on site and 1 day at home
Driving Licence Required: Yes
Vehicle Access Required: No, Council vehicle provided
DBS Required: Basic DBS required
Rate of Pay: £300-350 a day umbrella

Short Brief/Requirement:

• Reports to Disrepair Manager within busy and high-profile Disrepair Team
• Surveying properties, specifying disrepair works and raising orders to contractors
• Project managing disrepair works from commencement to completion
• Undertaking pre-inspections, works in progress inspections and post-inspections
• Managing contractors and monitoring their performance
• Monitoring Health & Safety compliance
• Liaising with and supporting tenants throughout disrepair works
• Coordinating and overseeing temporary decants
• Collaborating with stakeholders, such as Legal and Tenancy teams
• Site-based 4 days per week with hybrid working from the office and home

Job Requirements:

• Disrepair experience preferred, but not required - training will be provided
• Proven track record of property maintenance experience
  
• Major repairs project management experience preferred
• Experience of working in Social Housing sector preferred
• Good understanding of Health and Safety legislation in relation to property maintenance
• Full UK driving licence
• Basic DBS
• Role would suit maintenance surveyor, repairs/voids supervisor, working supervisor or project manager
