Job Role: Domestic Abuse Housing Coordinator
Temporary or Permanent: Temp
Possible End Date: 3 months (possible extension)
Number of Positions: 1 position
Location: Hammersmith
Office Based/Hybrid: 3 days in the office/on site  
JD Provided: Yes
Driving Licence Required: TBC
DBS Required: Enhanced DBS required
Rate of Pay: £36 p/h umbrella

Key Responsibilities:

• To coordinate H&F’s housing response to domestic abuse (DA) and ensure compliance with the new housing duties across departments.
• To lead a review of the offer for victims of domestic abuse in H&F housing including leading the implementation of new policies and procedures relating to domestic abuse
• To lead on identifying gaps and making recommendations to senior managers to strengthen and improve our response across Housing and Community Safety.
• To lead and implement a local Domestic Abuse (DA) Housing Strategy in line and concurrently with the Greater London Authority’s (GLA) Strategy and to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the strategy
• Lead a review of domestic abuse data collection across housing departments to ensure accurate collection and collation of data and implement new systems to ensure compliance with Tier 1 (GLA) data requirements, ensuring the sustainable delivery of the strategy beyond the lifetime of the post.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• At least 2 years experience within a Domestic Abuse Housing Coordinator or equivalent
• A good understanding of issues relating to domestic abuse, social housing and homelessness and experience of working in one of these areas
• An understanding of the Domestic Abuse Bill and its implications for the Council including the DA housing duty
• Experience of working in the VAWG sector is desirable.
