Position: Legal Officer
Rate: £26.82 per hour (Umbrella) 
Contract: 6 Months
Contract Duration: To be confirmed
Location: Flexible with travel to Bristol once or twice a month

My client are looking for a legal officer with Prosecution experience, trading standards and consumer protection law, Housing Act prosecutions, environmental health prosecution work.

Job Requirements:

• Prosecution Experience: Handling cases related to trading standards, consumer protection law, Housing Act prosecutions, and environmental health.
• Criminal Case Preparation: Managing the preparation, litigation, and procedural aspects of criminal cases.
• Regulatory Advice: Providing advisory support, particularly within private housing, alongside broader local authority regulatory matters.
• Advocacy Experience: Representing cases in the Magistrates Court, including trials and appeals.
• Licensing Act 2003: Offering advice and support related to licensing, attending committee meetings, and handling appeals.
• Travel Requirements: Ability to travel to Bristol approximately once or twice a month for Court and committee attendance.
