Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy local authority in East Anglia, are looking for an experienced Specialist HR Advisor to join their team and play a crucial role in their occupational health operations. 

Position: Specialist HR Advisor
Rate: £24.22 per hour (Umbrella) 
Contract Duration: Temporary (6 Months) with Possible Extension

Key Responsibilities:

The role provides high-level technical expertise and advice within their professional area. They coach managers to deal successfully with people issues and use highly developed enquiry skills to evaluate information and identify potential solutions to complex issues. Creating medium to long term value within their designated portfolio areas, consultants will lead on clearly defined projects and provide mentoring to influence decisions.

• Active management and development of the 3 core Occupational Health and Well-being contracts to ensure they deliver to contract, provide value for money and impact is maximised.
• Provide specialist professional advice and guidance to support people management issues, cultural change and strategic priorities.
• Challenge existing ways of working seeking to delivery process improvement. Share knowledge and promote the development of skills within the HR team.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• At least 1 year experience within a Specialist HR Advisor role or equivalent.
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development. 
• Level 6 qualification or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
• Registered Nurse and Registered Specialist Community Public Health Nurse with NMC.
• Experience of working as an occupational health nurse and delivery of occupational health services in a variety of settings and with a variety of employees.
• Professional knowledge of operational issues within the professional area.
