Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy local authority in Southeast London, are looking for an experienced Pest Control Officer to join their team and play a crucial role in their pest control operations. 

Position: Pest Control Officer
Rate: £29.28 per hour (Umbrella, Inside IR35) 
Contract Duration: Temporary (August 2025) with Possible Extension

Key Responsibilities:

• To undertake surveys of individual or groups of properties, including testing drains and sewers as directed, to identify type and causes of infestation by rodents or other pests and decide on appropriate treatment to eradicate the problem.
• To work as part of a team delivering high quality pest control and associated services to residential, commercial and industrial premises, including the undertaking of pest control treatments as directed.
• To be responsible for tracing, baiting, poisoning and trapping of rodents or other pests in domestic, business or public properties in accordance with current legislation, codes of practice and technical recommendations and to certify the abatement of reported infestations.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• At least 1 year experience within a Pest Control Officer role or equivalent.
• Evidence of continuing professional development.
• Full Driving Licence Required.
