Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy local authority in Hampshire, are looking for an experienced Recruitment Assistant to join their team and play a crucial role in their recruitment operations.  

Position: Recruitment Assistant
Rate: £17.79 per hour (Umbrella, Inside IR35)
Contract Duration: Temporary (June 2025) with Possible Extension 

Purpose:

• To provide recruitment service activity and support the effective delivery of HR & OD activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• To deliver a comprehensive customer-focused recruitment service including the use of an e-recruitment platform.
• Process payroll input for new starters.
• To handle all recruitment queries from recruiting managers and ensure they have the information they need in a timely and accurate manner.
• To support recruiting managers with the preparation of recruitment documentation including adverts and candidate packs.
• To ensure the recruitment process meets its deadlines and complies with all relevant statutory requirements and Council policy and practice.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• At least 1 year experience within a Recruitment Assistant role or equivalent.
• GCSE English language and Maths – Grade 4 or above.
• Certificate in HR Admin or equivalent work experience (recruitment activity/administration in dealing with customers).
• Experience of delivering an excellent customer service in a high volume environment (recruitment experience would be an advantage).
