Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy Housing Association in Andover, are looking for an experienced Building Safety Team Leader to join their team and play a crucial role within their property safety & building safety operations.        

Position: Building Safety Team Leader
Salary: £41,701 per annum (Umbrella, Outside IR35)
Contract Duration: Permanent
Working Arrangement: Hybrid
 
Job Purpose: 

• Ensure that Building Safety Officers within Aster are effectively led to achieve their objectives and assist in ensuring we achieve compliance with all statutory provisions under the Building Safety Act in our Higher Risk Buildings
• Work in collaboration with the business regarding building safety compliance, working closely with the Building Safety Manager and other leaders within the business to ensure that building safety is promoted, and a positive safety culture is fostered.

Job Duties: 

• Support the Building Safety Manager with providing assurance to the business on health and safety matters within the area of responsibility. Providing robust management information and assurance where needed.
• Ensure all checks to life safety equipment is checked in line with the Fire Safety Act and Building Safety Act in the HRBs. 
• Liaise closely with the Servicing Compliance Team to ensure daily, weekly, monthly and yearly monitoring checks are being undertaken and provide regular audit reports to the Director and duty holder, and ad hoc reports as required.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• Experience within a Building Safety Team Leader role or equivalent.
• Good understanding of Building and Fire Safety strategy/systems within social housing.
• Experience of Risk and Compliance Management.
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
