Job Opportunity: Property Accounts Officer

We are seeking a qualified, third-party accredited Fire Risk Assessor with a recognised fire door inspection qualification to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in fire risk assessments, building safety management, and mentoring team members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct fire risk assessments across the borough, focusing on complex social housing tenanted blocks.
• Ensure compliance with BS 9999, Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) 2005, and PAS 79.
• Work collaboratively with existing team members, sharing knowledge and mentoring colleagues.
• Contribute to the improvement of FRA templates, processes, and policies.
• Oversee health and safety management on building projects, maintenance contracts, and fire risk assessments.
• Allocate work to property services officers, supervisors, and external contractors while ensuring high standards and cost efficiency.
• Supervise and support staff and contractors, ensuring projects are delivered effectively.
• Assist in planning, managing workloads, and meeting project targets set by the Team Manager.

Essential Criteria:

• Qualified, third-party accredited Fire Risk Assessor.
• Recognised fire door inspection qualification.
• Member of the Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE).
• Experience in fire safety within purpose-built blocks of flats.
• Knowledge of contract law, statutory regulations, and British Standards related to refurbishment and maintenance contracts.
