Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy local authority in South London, are looking for an experienced Street Cleansing Fleet Officer.

Position: Street Cleansing Fleet Officer
Rate: £26.60 per hour (Umbrella, Inside IR35)
Contract Duration: Temporary (4 Months) with Possible Extension 

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure adherence to driver hours regulations and conduct comprehensive vehicle safety compliance checks.
• Coordinate and enforce compliance with environmental standards within the fleet operations.
• Lead and promote fleet compliance training programs to enhance staff knowledge and operational efficiency.
• Execute Council policies and procedures within the Street Cleansing Fleet to ensure regulatory adherence.
• Support the Street Cleansing Manager in developing and maintaining a robust compliance framework for the fleet service.
• Regularly assess regulatory requirements and industry best practices to ensure a secure, efficient, and compliant Fleet Service.
• Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure alignment with operational, regulatory, and safety goals.

• Strong understanding of driver regulations, vehicle safety standards, and environmental compliance.
• Experience with fleet operations and managing compliance in a public-sector setting.
• Proven ability to lead and deliver training programs on compliance and operational standards.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to address compliance and operational issues.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail in monitoring and reporting compliance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Ability to work collaboratively with various departments to achieve common operational and regulatory objectives.
